Tips for students to remain calm and focused during lockdown
COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way we live. The lockdown has brought everything to a standstill. Talking about the studies in particular, learning hasn’t stopped completely; most of the institutes are conducting online classes. While many students are finding it difficult to adjust to the new way of learning, others are just bored of being at home most of the times. These are turbulent times and one must divert one’s attention in order to not loose calm. And as far as the students are concerned, they are most vulnerable to boredom, for them to cope up with the new changes, it is must to get them involved in some other activities. And here, we have listed some of the activities which will help them stay busy and away from all kinds of anxiety:
- Do yoga and detox yourself
They say that meditation can help you distress and relax. The other thing that holds true besides this is a fact that exercises improve strength, agility and can help build immunity, which is very necessary in times like these when the world is fighting the virus like COVID-19. Yoga, being a perfect mix of exercises and meditation will help students stay focused and healthy at the same time.
- Turn into a gardener
You may not have realised, but being with nature evokes a sense of calmness. So, you can engage yourself in gardening or simply grow one plant or two and tend to them on a daily basis. Caring and nurturing the plants works to uplift the mood while also helping in improving the concentration and productivity. Try and grow plants that emit oxygen like tulsi or aloe vera.

If there’s some activity that you have been wanting to do for a very long time, do it now. If you don’t know how, follow the DIY videos or any authentic web content. To begin with, you can try painting if you were ever inclined towards it. Painting is a creative way to express yourself.
- Play board games
