What to Expect from the Education Abroad Fair
Even though this event is different from those hosted organized in the past, the aim to help students is the same. The fair is a combination of both virtual and in-person events which is not only limited to Penn State students. With the ongoing ruckus due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic, the organizers are taking full measures to engage participants through digital mediums.
The event is being called the Back to the World Education Abroad Fair which is open to students from all campuses. The series will include 2 virtual events and one in-person event.
Event 1: Welcome Back to the World, October 12, 2021, 5-7 pm
The first event will be held virtually on Zoom on the 12th of October from 5-7 pm. Education Abroad partners will educate students about the event through activities, workshops, and Education Abroad staff. This will give students the opportunity to communicate with staff and alumni from universities to learn all about the education abroad procedure. Registration will be required beforehand by students to attend this event.
Event 2: We are Back In-Person!, October 13, 2021, 11-4 pm
To be held at the University Park, Alumni Hall, this is the only in-person event in the Fair Series. This event will enable the Penn State faculty to communicate with students. The event is aimed at presenting students the opportunity to discuss the various abroad study programs being offered by colleges and departments. The event is planned according to the Covid-19 protocols to ensure the safety of both staff and students. This event does not require any registration. Students are welcome to participate straight away at the venue.
